What information do I need to order contact lenses?

A contact lens prescription is made up of specific data which we require to fill your order. All of this information is available on the packaging of the contact lenses you are currently wearing, or from your optometrist or optician. In most states, eye care professionals are required to provide you with a copy upon request. Be sure it contains all the necessary information, including expiration date, and is signed by your eye care professional.

Here is the information that we need:

OD = Right Eye

OS = Left Eye

Brand Name (e.g. Acuvue)

BC / Base Curve (a number between 8.0 and 10.0)

DIA / Diameter (a number between 13.0 and 15.0)

Power / Sphere / Rx (a number between -20 and +20)

How can I return a product?

If your prescription changes, we welcome your unopened and unexpired contact lenses.

If there is a problem with your order, you may return your product for a refund or an exchange, within 30 days of receipt.

  • Product must be in saleable condition.
  • Any items that have been opened, marked or damaged are NOT returnable.
  • "Made-to-Order" or "Custom Lenses" are not returnable

How do I cancel an Order?

Buycontacts4u seeks to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. If at any time before your order has been shipped, you may cancel the order or any portion of the order.*

Once your order has been shipped, we regret that we can no longer cancel your order. If there is a problem with an order that has already been shipped, you will have to refer to our Return Policy in order to complete your transaction.

In order to cancel an order, or any portion of an order, you need to contact our Customer Service Department and our Customer Service Representatives will assist you in making whatever changes you need.

* Custom Lenses, including novelty and made-to-order lenses, cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged once the Order has been received.

How can I send my prescription to buycontacts4u.com?

There are two easy ways to send your current prescription:

Do I need a prescription to place an order?

Yes. We require a valid prescription for every order. If you don't have a copy of your prescription, you can still order from us. All you will need is your eye doctor's name (or clinic name), city, state and doctor's contact details

After you submit your order, we will act on your behalf to quickly verify or obtain your prescription information. We are required by law to verify your prescription with your doctor. This helps to ensure that we provide you with the correct contact lenses for your order

How do I know my prescription is still valid?

Most prescriptions are valid for one or two years depending on the state. Buycontacts4u.com is committed to proper eye health and encourages all its customers to receive regular eye examinations. If your prescription has expired, a customer service representative will remind you to visit your care provider for an exam and to receive a new or updated prescription.

Can I purchase one brand of contact lens if I have a prescription for another?

Unfortunately, this is not recommended. Contact lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearingsuccessfully. If you would like to change the type or brand of lens you are wearing, your eye care professional will need to help you make that choice. Once you and your eye care professional establish what type of contact lens is best for you, simply contact our Customer Service Department.

Can I get color contact lenses without a prescription?

No. colored lenses come in different sizes and must be fit to your eye by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. As a replacement center, we can only sell you contact lenses that you are already wearing successfully. Once you have a prescription for colored contact lenses, simply contact our Customer Service Department and one of our knowledgeable representatives will help you save up to 70%.

Does buycontacts4u.com carry all brands of contact lenses?

We at buycontacts4u.com sell the brands and types worn by over 99% of all contact lens wearers. If you don't see the exact contact lens you wear, or are looking for, contact our Customer Service Department and one of our knowledgeable representatives will help you locate your request, and give you information about pricing and availability.

D. Shipping and Order Processing Questions

How do I check the status of my order?

You can easily check the status of your current order by clicking on the "Track Order" tab on the My Account page. Your past and most recent orders will be displayed, and you can print or email your receipt.

How do you ship your products?

We use several reliable shipping methods including but not restricted to FedEx, DHL, USPS, IPS and a few more agencies depending upon the location of your country where the order will be shipped.

How long does it take to ship my order and what is the delivery time?

It may take up to 48 hours to process your order. We'll verify your contact lens prescription with your eye doctor as soon as possible. If you would like your order to ship immediately, you can fax your prescription to 855-351-6593 or email it to info@buycontacts4u.com. Please put your order number on the contact lens prescription before faxing or emailing it.

Normally it takes 7 to 15 days for delivering order (Any delay from Airlines & custom is not included).

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship orders worldwide every day (except New York state). Delivery times vary based on the shipping method.

However, it is important for you to check with local customs departments in order to avoid any unexpected fees, duties, or delays that might result from your country's importation policies. Buycontacts4u.com is NOT responsible for any sales taxes, customs duties or other taxes charged by your customs department.

My order was damaged in transit?

If your order was damaged in transit, please call us at 855-351-6593 or email us at info@buycontacts4u.com . A damaged or broken outer box will not affect your contact lenses. If the individual casing protecting your lenses is not damaged, or open, they will be perfectly safe to use.

My order has not arrived, what should I do?

Our contact lens distribution center is located in New York, USA. This location is ideal for rapid distribution throughout the country. However, we use few other international distribution centers as well for faster delivery

G. Some General questions

Disposable instructions?

You may find that our website lists your lens as 2 week disposables, but your doctor says you can wear them for 4 weeks. Actually the lens wearing schedules on our website are provided by contact lens manufacturers. However, doctors may decide on a different wearing schedule (shorter or longer) for an individual patient based on wearing habits, lifestyle, cleaning methods etc. You should always follow the wearing schedule prescribed by your doctor.

Can I swim with my contact lenses in?

It is best if you don't because there is bacteria in the water that can adhere to your lenses and cause infection. If you do swim in your lenses, you should wear goggles over them and you should disinfect them immediately afterwards.

How can I be sure I receive email offers and updates from you?
